Millionaires of Inter-War Lithuania: Methods of Enrichment and Related Specifics in the Contemporary Context

Abstract
The article deals with circumstances pertaining to enrichment of Lithuanian millionaires (business people or public officials) during the inter-war period. It showcases the most frequent methods of enrichment, such as abuse of office, financial machinations, profitable investments of funds acquired abroad, trafficking in firearms and engagement in illegal and criminal activities. The article reveals the mechanism of enrichment, relevant specifics and similarities to enrichment methods used in contemporary Lithuania.
